What do I need to get my license?

Possession Acquisition Licence (PAL)


It is necessary to have a firearms licence (PAL) in order to possess or borrow a firearm or to acquire, by any means, a firearm or ammunition. A Firearms Licence is available to those individuals who are 18 years or older. More information regarding the Possession Acquisition Licence may be found here

Minors Licence

A minor’s licence is available to to those individuals who are 12 to 18 years old, (who have, with written parental or legal guardian consent, successfully completed the CFSC and exam) and permits the borrowing of non-restricted firearms (ordinary rifles and shotguns) for the following activities:
